Wedding guest cocktail dress

Im 5’1 so this dress is longer on me than the model but still not too long for me to wear to a wedding with a cocktail dress code. I’m a little heavier than usual as I had covid and put weight on while recovering but the 8 was too big and the 6 is slightly tight but I have 3 weeks to lose another couple of lbs and then it will be perfect. The colors are very nice, navy with darker pinks, burgundy and reds. I will wear burgundy shoes with it and a navy velvet jacket.
